Sign Up Flow and In-App Onboarding Guides
The problem
After shipping the tracking page creator and transactional email builder, we had a complete product. But each subscription was still custom, and customers were onboarded manually by sales reps. We wanted potential customers to sign up and set up completely on their own.
What we shipped
A self-serve signup flow with Stripe integration, free trial option, and in-app onboarding guides to help merchants see value quickly.
Impact
Enabled product-led growth by allowing merchants to sign up, start a free trial, and get started without sales intervention.

Product-led growth
We applied to have our product publicly displayed in the Shopify App Store and added "Powered by Malomo" to the customer-facing tracking block that redirected to our marketing site.
The signup flow
I designed the first signup page, then a payment portal via Stripe integration that merchants could "skip for now" to start a free trial. The goal was to get someone to sign up as quickly and easily as possible, see the value of Malomo, and convert to a paid subscription.

I designed and shipped in-app onboarding guides to help merchants understand how to set up and use Malomo's features effectively.
